Where to Pick Your Own Peaches and Berries Near St. Louis This Summer
Name a better summer taste than a fresh peach picked straight from the tree, eaten in the orchard, the warm juice running down your chin, sticky hands as your carry your haul of summer fruit. It’s a summer tradition and my kids ask all year when it’s peach season. We’re lucky to have so many pick-your-own spots around St. Louis. So whether you’re looking for peaches, berries, even tomatoes (or planning ahead for apple season!), I’m sharing some of our favorites!
Before heading out, always check the farm's website or social media for current picking conditions. Crop availability can change daily depending on weather and harvest demand.

Summer peaches are simply the best!
Eckert's Farms (Belleville & Grafton)
The most popular pick-your-own destination in the St. Louis area is undoubtedly Eckert's. Their farms offer seasonal picking throughout the year, including strawberries in the spring, blackberries in June, and peaches starting in June, plus sunflowers in mid-summer then a fall filled with apples and pumpkins!
The Belleville location is ideal for families thanks to tractor rides, a restaurant, bakery, live music stage and plenty of activities to turn your picking trip into a full-day adventure. Their Millstadt location ( know as the fun farm!) opens in September.

Braeutigam Orchard
Another Illinois orchard that’s perfect for making family-memories is Braeutigam Orchard. It’s smaller and has a less commercial feel. In the summer you can pick peaches. They have delicious peach slushies and in the fall it’s one of our favorite places for apple picking! Their apple cider donuts are amazing.

HELPFUL TIPS:
Most of these farms are not stroller friendly! Wear good shoes (especially ones that can get muddy) and if you have a little one, baby wearing will be your best friend. Locations like Herman and Theis farm are smaller and don’t require much walking.
