I don't know about you guys but I am savoring every last morsel of this summer and if that means ice cream cones in the middle of the afternoon, well I'm game. This was a busy week at work. Lots of breaking news and working several different stories each day. Sometimes that means grabbing a normal dinner can be tough so when our story happens to bring us in front of say the Tower Grove Creamery on South Grand...then a sprinkle ice cream cone is going to happen.
I actually like when work is super busy sometimes. It reminds me why I fell in love with this busy crazy business. I also loved that we were able to tell a story this week that helped a family. A St. Charles woman has been struggling with flooding problems for years and we helped get her in touch with the right people. A message this morning that city workers were out in her yard was enough to start my weekend off right. Catch the story here.
The other things making me smile this week were discovering a new band (that will be at LouFest next month!), a mid-week brunch and home brewed cold brew. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Welcome to my blog! Here you'll find a behind the scenes look at the day-to-day life of a TV news reporter. I have a love for food, traveling and all things St. Louis. This is a place for me to write a bit more about my passions.
