Usually I write my daily delights post on Fridays, taking the time at the end of the week to appreciate the little things that made me smile during the busy work week. But since things got super busy this weekend I fell behind, so why not START the week off with a little gratitude? It's never a bad time to reflect on those moments of joy that can sometimes get bogged down in the stress of work or the hustle and bustle of the weekend. I can't believe it's almost the end of January. I am working on a post taking a look at the start of the new year and the goals and intentions I set for myself. One thing is reading more and right now I am reading a fantastic book recommended by my sister (she always has the best book recs). It's called the Children of the New World and it's a book of short essays taking a look at the role technology plays in our lives. Have you watched Black Mirror on Netflix? Well this is the book version. It's both terrifying and eye-opening especially for someone like me who can openly admit I am addicted to my phone.
But hey, I'm working on it. And after I snapped each of these photos I worked to take in the moment and appreciate the smile things like a cheerful teal house on my street and puppy cuddles can bring. I'd love to hear what's bringing you a little delight on this (finally sunny!) start to the week?
